Our Organization
Welcome to Charlie’s Kitty Kat Sanctuary aboard the AQUASITA — a 509(a)(2) & 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue lovingly known as Homeless Kitty Haven.Founded by Franco Antonio Blanco, Owner and Chef of the House of Food Porn in Little Haiti, Miami, this sanctuary honors the legacy of Mr. Charles Marshall — a devoted feeder, rescuer, and cat lover whose untimely passing in 2020 left behind a community of helpless, hungry strays.Charlie’s daily feeding routes across Little Haiti once nourished over 150 cats. Today, we carry that legacy forward — offering love, care, and shelter to the forgotten felines of the "some" of the very streets Charlie once rode his bike to feed. This journey began in 2016, when Chef Franco met Charlie on one of his feeding rounds near the restaurant. Moved by Charlie’s unwavering dedication and compassion, Chef began helping him feed, spay, and neuter the growing colony of strays behind the kitchen doors. When Charlie passed from lung cancer in 2020, Chef Franco — alongside a devoted group of feeders, rescuers, and fellow cat lovers — stepped up to continue the work. It was an act of solidarity, but also one of necessity. With so many cats suddenly without care, the responsibility could not be ignored. What began as a tribute quickly became a mission:
Spay. Neuter. Rescue. Rehome. To give every cat — from newborn kitten to senior soul — a chance at a furrever home.In 2021, we dared to dream even bigger. We leased an old coin laundry building directly across from Chef’s restaurant in Little Haiti. The plan? A welcoming coin laundry for the neighborhood in the front, and a Cat Café & Sanctuary in the back where rescue cats could mingle with the visitors and find new homes. But that dream was crushed. After over a year of delays, bad faith lease terms, and sabotage by the landlord, the vision collapsed — leaving us financially devastated with losses over $80,000, and most tragically, 16 rescued cats in limbo. From the ashes of that heartbreak rose a new beginning:
We relocated our sanctuary to the AQUASITA HOUSEBOAT, which originally intended as a private dining venue on the water. Now, it's known as Homeless Kitty Haven at Catsa Blanco in Key Largo, Florida. Here, our cats live surrounded by nature, dolphins, manatees — and love. It is their paradise, their safe harbor. But our mission remains rooted in Little Haiti. Our team continues to spay, neuter, rescue, find fosters and adopters for the cats in the neighborhood where this story began — now with even more purpose, passion, and support from people like you.In addition to providing lifelong sanctuary to seniors and special-needs cats, we work tirelessly to find loving, permanent homes for all the kittens we rescue. Each adoption not only gives a young cat a brighter future, but also makes space for us to save even more lives. Every kitten we place is one step closer to a future where no cat is left behind.Join us.
Help us rescue the voiceless, shelter the forgotten, and honor Charlie’s legacy.
Your donation can turn a desperate meow into a purring symphony of hope.🐾 Every life matters. Every dollar helps.Together, let’s change lives — one cat at a time.

Our Mission
Our mission is heartfelt and urgent: to bring hope to the forgotten, voiceless cats of Little Haiti and its surrounding neighborhood. Every day, the stray cat population grows, and with it, the suffering of countless animals born into a life of hunger, fear, and neglect. Our goal is simple yet profound—to break this cycle of despair.Through a dedicated sterilization program, we strive to stop the endless cycle of overpopulation. For the tiny, fragile kittens born into the harsh realities of the streets, we seek to find them loving homes where they can experience the warmth and care they’ve never known. And for the sweet adult feral cats—many abandoned, scared, and longing for compassion—we provide a foster program where they can finally feel safe and cherished.Every cat we help is a life transformed, a little heart given a second chance to trust and love. Together, we can rewrite their stories and ensure that no cat is left behind, forgotten, or unloved. The stray cat population in Little Haiti, Miami, and surrounding areas is growing at an alarming rate, leaving countless cats to face starvation, disease, and exposure to harsh elements. Without timely intervention, these animals endure lives of hardship, often ending in premature death. This overpopulation crisis not only impacts the welfare of these cats but also disrupts local wildlife and poses challenges to public health. This is why we at Charlie’s Kitty Kat Sanctuary, are dedicated to addressing this urgent issue by providing a safe haven for homeless cats. We offer life-saving medical care, spay/neuter services to prevent further overpopulation, and work tirelessly to find these cats their forever homes. While we have relied on income from our restaurant to sustain our efforts, rising costs have made it increasingly challenging to meet the growing needs of the sanctuary. Now, we rely on the generosity of donors and grants to continue this vital work and expand our impact.Join us in our mission to rescue stray cats from the streets of Little Haiti and give them a second chance at life—whether aboard the AQUASITA HOUSEBOAT, lovingly known as Homeless Kitty Haven at Casa Blanco, in a caring new home through our adoption and foster program, or at the Coin Laundry Cat Sanctuary we aspire to open. Together, we can offer these vulnerable cats the love, care, and refuge they so desperately deserve.

Business Name: The FAB Cat House Café & Coin Laundry
Location: 6230 NW 2nd Ave, Little Haiti, Miami-Dade, FL
Funding Goal: $500,000 via Crowdsourcing Campaign
Crowdsourcing Goal: $10 dollar donation by 50,000 animals loversThe FAB Cat House Café & Coin Laundry is a visionary concept designed to serve both people and animals in one multifunctional space. Located in the heart of Little Haiti, Miami, this innovative facility will combine an essential laundromat, a cozy café, and a dedicated cat sanctuary/mini clinic — forming a vibrant community hub built on compassion, convenience, and connection. We’re re-launching this initiative after a prior attempt in 2021 that demonstrated strong community support but was ultimately derailed by unfavorable lease terms and lack of external funding, resulting in over $80,000 in personal losses. Still, our commitment has never been stronger. Now, we’re asking 50,000 people to donate just $10 to help us finally bring this dream to life — together. Our Vision

☕ Café Corner: Sandwiches, salads, pastries, and coffee in a relaxing space
🤝 Community Hub: Host events, workshops, and adoption days for public benefitThe Journey So Far
In 2021, we secured a 5-year lease and began renovations at a coin laundry space across from our founder’s restaurant, House of Food Porn. The community welcomed the idea with enthusiasm. We offered spay/neuter services, launched adoption drives, and even started a mobile cat care initiative.Unfortunately, due to predatory lease conditions, rejected funding applications, and minimal donor support, we had to vacate the space in 2022—losing both the lease and more than $80,000 in private investment. What we learned: community support is strong, but sustainable funding must be shared. This time, we’re building something owned by the people. The New Approach: A Movement Powered by the PeopleRather than relying on large donors or institutions, we’re asking 50,000 compassionate people to contribute just $10. With that, we can:
— Secure a long-term lease
— Finish renovations
— Purchase equipment
— Hire staff
